ECHO HOLE, a senior thesis by Timm Mettler, whomever that is, will be featured at The Morean Arts Center, 719 Central Avenue, hidden around the corner from Kirk Palmer's BAD-ASS work, until the 13th of May, when Chris Burden will pulverize Urs Fischer into a fine powder, then fill the EPIC HOLE the Mettler dude will indelibly leave in the St.Petersburg gallery. Don't let the hole leave you moneyless. Get down there on free Mondays. NO EXCUSES, lazy bones!

My show will synthesize my artistic influences for the viewer in ways writing about it can not accomplish. Felix Gonzalez-Torres is an artist who uses space and the gallery setting in a way I admire. Along with Duchamp's traveling Art-show-in-a-book trick, I produced a take-a-way booklet, which reflects my influences, so the attending audience can carry a piece of art off with themselves to look at later. For me, Walter Benjamin's essay about Art in the age of mechanical reproduction provided aspiration and a new set of ideas to apply to my definition of Art. I feel that the experience of being at this show, for myself and for my show partner Kirk Palmer, will be a performance piece in itself.
